Linux Website Update

The Linux site has been updated with a fresh new look! We’re still finishing up getting all the new content published, so things may change slightly over the next few weeks as additional pages appear and more information is added.

The intent for this new site is to be a hub for all things Linux-related on campus. Whether you’re a student who’s learning to use Linux for a class, a researcher who’s getting started with high performance computing, or a system administrator working on rolling out some new infrastructure, this site should have relevant information or at least a point in the right direction!

In addition to the static pages, we’ll be publishing posts to the news section whenever there are relevant changes around campus. Since the audience for the new site is varied, each post will be categorized to reflect who the content is most relevant for. Changelogs from the configuration management environment will be targeted towards sysadmins, while updates to campus lab environments will more likely affects students. These targeted posts will likely only appear on the relevant associated pages, but you can find everything on the main news page. More general service changes and announcements will appear on the homepage.
